The talk describes an environment to map applications to Multiprocessor Platforms. The corresponding platform enables the specification, simulation, performance evaluation and mapping of distributed algorithms. Major characteristics are scalability and multi-resolution methods for validation and estimation that combine simulation-based and analytic approaches.
